A Brief History

Little Athletics began in Geelong in 1964 and soon spread to other Victorian towns.

In 1967 the V.L.A.A. was formed. Interest grew and, within five years, Australian Little Athletics was born. Victoria now has over 100 centre’s. The Altona Centre was started in the 1969 and was the 41st centre to form, hence our number – 41. The chart below indicates the levels that comprise the V.L.A.A.
